General Guidelines
During the round, general rules of conduct and Finnish laws must be followed.
Everyone is responsible for their own behavior.
Please do not consume your own beverages in bars
Do not litter; aim to dispose of trash in the appropriate bins.
Task
At the starting point, groups will receive a booklet that contains login credentials for an online pass. The pass includes four checkpoint clues. Each checkpoint clue corresponds to one checkpoint location, and the goal is to determine the location of the checkpoint based on the given clue. Revealing a checkpoint clue will show the name of the bar. Groups will receive 20 penalty points for each clue revealed.
Checkpoints
The checkpoints are located inside bars within the vicinity of Helsinki city center.
Before going to the checkpoint, the group must stop at the bar counter and purchase a drink. Any alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink is acceptable.
Please do not consume your own beverages at the checkpoints, as this is unacceptable behavior.
When arriving at a checkpoint, the group provides their login credentials to the checkpoint supervisors. The supervisors will verify that the group is at the correct checkpoint. After this, the group will receive a task to complete. The task is graded on a scale of 0-100, with the final score based on task performance and team spirit. If a checkpoint clue was revealed, the group receives 20 penalty points.
The tasks vary yearly, but they traditionally relate to the checkpoint holders own field of study. However, the tasks are not so complex as to require solving them in binary code.
After completing a task, the group has the opportunity to improve their score using creativity. However, it is possible to achieve the maximum score of 100 points without bribery.
Final Checkpoint
The final checkpoint is located in Ruttopuisto from 8 PM to 9 PM, with the after-party hosted by HTO ry's LiskoDisco.
Bonus Checkpoint
In addition to the regular checkpoints, groups can complete one bonus checkpoint. The location of this checkpoint is not disclosed beforehand, so groups must figure it out on their own. Any checkpoint from Tursajaiset that the group does not have a clue for can serve as a bonus checkpoint.
If the group accidentally arrives at the wrong checkpoint, they can complete it as a bonus checkpoint.
Final Checkpoint
The round ends at the final checkpoint, where groups have one last opportunity to influence their final score. Points at the final checkpoint can be earned for things like an impressive entrance, matching outfits, or other creative approaches. Groups often bring souvenirs from the round to further influence their final score. However, it is important to note that these souvenirs must be collected within the bounds of Finnish law—for example, do not collect items from construction sites. Poor judgment will result in penalty points.
Groups must arrive at the final checkpoint by 9 PM at the latest.
Prizes
The best-performing Tursas group will be rewarded during the after-party.
